Activities of the Trust

The Trust is engaged in a continuous environmental preservation programme through a network of NGOs titled 'NEERVAZHI'. After a careful study of reports a document was prepared by Dr.Janakrajan, Professor MIDS, suggesting short term and long term plan of action to prevent floods on 27.10.16 in a function "For the Restoration of Chennai"


Students of all the three schools in chennai visited nearby locality and had useful discussions on the sewage drain and storm water drain system of the locality. They ask the residents not to throw garbage, plastics, and other solid waste into the sewage or storm water drains, as it would lead to blocking, chocking and prevent free flow of water on 21.10.16.


The SBI Officers' Association has been organizing several campaigns to create awareness among the public on the need for safeguarding public sector for the welfare of the nation. In an attempt the association organized competitions in Essay writing, Documentay film, & creating cartoons for public in May,prizes for the winners were distributed on 8.10.16


An Exhibition on the life and achievements of Shakespeare was organized by our Trust in collaboration with ELTAI and the British Council on 1.9.16 & 2.9.16 to observe the 400th death anniversary of the Bard Of Avon, William Shakespeare. A book fair and pavilions by British Council, ELTAI & SPACE Kidz were part of the exhibition.


The second SBIOA Chennai Inter-School Sports Festival was held on 26.7.16 & 27.7.16 at the SBOA School & Junior College premises. The sports meet brought together young sports aspirants of the city and offered abundant opportunities to carve a niche for themselves. The theme of the fest was Sports for Unity.


A National conference on Technology Vision - 2035 was held on 5th July 2016, under the joint auspices of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council(TIFAC), Indian Development Foundation and SBIOA Educational Trust. The topics were on Quality Education, Clean & Portable water, Safe and Speedy Mobility.
